Conch Shells & Shelfies

Robin and Charlene found Conch shells!  Beautiful but needed to be cleaned.  While they are working on the shells--Dave practices his selfie skills in the water.

Visions underwater

One of our favorite activities in the Exumas has been snorkeling.  Take a look at these pictures to see why we enjoy this so much.

April 12--Camp Meandering Joy

All our guests have arrived safely and soundly albeit with a little bit of a detour to Black Point first.  Steve and I are feeling a little bit like tour guides or camp counselors.  Also we have a goal to get to Nassau by Saturday, May 18.  We have quite a few places to show our friends in just a week.  Hope we can fit it all in and hope they still like us after we push them from day to day--sometimes minute to minute.

Today-Sunday- Steve is taking Robin and Charles and Dave to see Thunderball Grotto. The dinghy is too small to take all of us at one time.   After the Grotto, we are heading toward Cambridge Cay to catch a mooring ball and then to visit Rachel's Bubble bath and Rocky Dundas--another grotto.

One of my favorites--Robin's first snorkeling adventure

April 11--One more visit to Piggy Beach

The Moreman's arrive at Black Point and catch a ride over to Staniel Cay.  After a quick shopping trip we get back to the boat and Dave went with Steve to show the Moreman's Piggy Beach and took the pictures for the post today.   Funny how his pictures of piggy beach are a little different from the ones I have taken.

Charles loves driving the dinghy

April 11--An early visit to Thunderball Grotto

Saturday morning at high tide we take Dave and Charlene to see Thunderball Grotto.  Charlene's first experience snorkeling in a while.  It was a tough day because the tide had turned just a little and we were having to fight the current.  Got a few good pics though.

April 10-Robsons Arrive

We left Black Point Settlement this morning so that we could pick up Dave and Charlene in Staniel Cay around 3:00.  After we got anchored we received notification from Dave that they had landed in Black Point and were taking a boat over to Staniel Cay.  We did some investigating and discovered that the airport at Staniel Cay had been shut down by the FAA due to too many pot holes in the runway.  Had we known we could have stayed at Black Point and picked them up there.

Of course we took them to see Piggy Beach and Thunderball Grotto!  No pics of the grotto but several at Piggy Beach.

Steve sneaked an apple in his pocket and a knife and started to slice the apple.  Those piggies are no dummies.  They zeroed in on him in no time flat.  They almost took a big chunk out of his behind....
