Rocky Dundas Part 1

Once we got settled on the mooring at Cambridge Cay the guys took off to Rocky Dundas.  On the southern side of Conch Cut are two high cays.  There are two caves located on the cays that have stalactite and stalagmite formations which are seen nowhere else in this area.  There is a bouy at the southernmost cave-Rocky Dundas which provides a place to secure the dinghy while exploring.  The Exuma Land and Sea Park site explains that some of the conch shells found on the leeward side of the cay date back to the 1500's.

Visiting Rocky Dundas requires the best of weather--strong winds and seas would make a visit impossible and quite dangerous.  On this day--the weather was perfect.  Rick and Leanne from Toucanne joined the guys for this adventure. (Meanwhile I took Robin and Charlene to Rachel's Bubble Bath -pics coming soon)
