Just Hanging Out

Going through some of my pictures I found this one of a pelican perched on a post, just hanging out!

Looking forward to a weekend of "just hanging out" with my family --some of them anyway--missing the ones who are away...

A Cloudy Day

While we were exploring the river these clouds were overhead!  I was reminded of those lazy summer days as a child staying with my MawMaw.  Sometimes we would lie under the pecan trees and watch the clouds go floating by.  We would be fascinated when we would spot a cloud that looked like a dog or a horse or a tree! 

 

By day the Lord went ahead of  them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or  night.  Neither the pillor of cloud by day  nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.

A Whale of a Baby Shower for Riley Scout!!!

We went home last week to attend a baby shower for my second cousin.  Stephanie is expecting a baby girl they will name "Riley Scout" on September 22.  I am hoping she is born on September 21--the birthday of my sweet baby girl Lainey.  Stephanie and Mr. Adventure share a birthday on April 28 so I think it would be appropriate if Lainey and Riley Scout share a birthday as well. 

The party decorations were something to make every Pinterest follower proud.  The food was delicious.

Biking around Mount Pleasant Old Village

Riding our bikes around Old Village was a treat.  We made it all the way to Shem Creek where we like to eat at RB's one of our favorite places for seafood!

Let's just take the rolls and the kayaks to the river for a fun time!

Pitt Street Pharmacy in Old Village

All that bike riding made Steve hungry.  He decided to stop into the pharmacy-soda shop for a treat. 

 I was drawn to the candy counter back at the pharmacy while Steve was looking over the menu.
