Before we left Sullivan's Island, I had the opportunity to take Matthew to the beach. Since we have been vacationing here for several years, I knew just the spot to park. Matthew attacked the waves with all the enthusiasm of a typical 11 year old boy. He had a great time and I enjoyed watching him. We had a little scare when an object that looked suspiciously like a shark kept bouncing along in the waves. It turned out to be a fin shaped piece of drift wood.
We left Toler's Cove Marina about 5:30 and arrived home about 11:00. We had horrible weather and horrible traffic--we should have just stayed at the marina.
