Boot Key Harbor

Exploring Boot Key Harbor today we discovered the Boot Key City Harbor Marina.  Below is an aerial view of the mooring field.  As we rode through the area, it felt like there were thousands of boats.

The field uses a  mooring system that will accommodate boats up to 60 feet in length. They have spots for 226 boats. We have used a mooring ball once in our two year boating experience.  This picture below offers a better visual.  The idea is to pull up the Pennant and attach a line to the little ring at the end.

The dinghy docks were full with designations for both hard, soft, & handicapped dinghy's.

Notice that this is a shark-friendly marina
