Halloween at Vero Beach

We left Titusville Marina early in the morning of Halloween with the goal of reaching Vero Beach City Marina to take the dogs trick or treating.  I bought a bag of treats to give out to everyone we saw and of course we had costumes for the dogs.  After arrival I took the dogs for a quick walk at the nearby dog park.  There were several dogs here, but not being familiar with dog park etiquette, I walked the dogs around the adjacent ball field.

Around 6:00 I dressed the dogs for a nice Halloween stroll.  We were greeted immediately by passersby.  As we walked by the Vero Beach Yacht Club, we were invited inside by the Commodore's Wife.  She asked us to parade the dogs through their restaurant/bar area.  We soon met many others who were in costume like Jack and Piper.

Heading out to trick or treat!

After about 15 minutes the restaurant manager came out and gave us the evil eye so we high tailed it out of there for another walk around the dog park so that Jack and Piper could show off their costumes for a little longer.

Scary

Headed to the dog park after the festivities at the Vero Beach Yacht Club.  Jack and Piper chased a few tennis balls.

Still feeling protective of Jack since his illness in August/September.  His hair is growing back and he has gained back the weight he lost.  A big thank you to our vet Asha Wise  in Monroe and the UGA Vet School in Athens for treating our Cracker Jack.

Dogs definitely allowed!

Piper--Please don't let her do this to me again Dad!

It's so fun to trick or treat with the dogs--I think I will have to do this again next year. On the look out for next year's costumes!
