Boxing Day
Boxing Day, December 26, is a holiday celebrated in Great Britan but has nothing to do with boxing--the sport. It is thought the holiday began in the Middle Ages as the day on which servants had a holiday from work since they had to work on Christmas Day. AS they left the estate to visit their own families they were given gift boxes from their employers.
We spend Boxing Day at Granny & Grandaddy's house for lunch and a visit with Barry, Janet, Jessica & Matthew. Caroline opened a few more birthday presents.
