After staying in Bimini for a few days, we want to go on to Nassau where we want to meet Lainey on March 13. Nassau is to far go in one day so we will probably stop in Chub Cay. Click here to see Chub Cay Marina. We probably won't stay here but we will anchor outside of the marina. The video must have been made years ago because when we were there in 2013, it was very run down. Everything we have read indicates that it is still not as nice as it was at one time.
Update: We did stay at the marina--it was still run down, but evidence of work in the past two years. There are more houses which are beautiful and there are several pallets of building supplies...
We had a safe passage over the Great Bahama Bank--but it was not what one might call pleasant. The winds were high (15-25) but we were heading into the wind making it a little easier than taking the wind abeam. It was a long day, rocking and nerve racking. The spare anchor pin came loose as did our burgee. Steve went up to the bow pulpit to secure these items which was frightening for me to watch with the high waves.
We saw Otter, another Fleming at the marina.
