A Little Princess at Balzer Theater

My sweet daughters know how much I enjoy seeing a play--especially at Christmas.  When they were tiny we saw a production of The Littler Drummer Boy and when they were older they all saw Dickens' A Christmas Carol in 7th grade at school.  We have also seen The Nutcracker as every other little girl in the Atlanta area.  A Little Princess is  currently produced by the Theatrical Outfit playing at the Balzer Theater at the site of the historical Atlanta restaurant, Herren's.

A Little Princess is a British children's novel written by Frances Hodgson Burnett.  of Sara Crewe, daughter of an explorer, who grew up on the African bush.  Sara attends Miss Minchin's  English boarding school in  London when her father, the very wealthy Captain must leave.   Sara courageously faces the Industrial Age in London using her faith and imagination to patiently await the return of her father.  

 The costumes were authentic for the time period

The play was fantastic! The music, dancing and acting was entertaining flawless.
