Green Cove Springs
We drove to Green Cove Springs on Tuesday, December 8. We wanted to determine if Green Cove Springs is a place we want to spend some time when we take Meandering Joy up the St. Johns River in January. GCS has a charming downtown area and a waterfront park which surround the natural springs.
The locals have prepared a Christmas tree exhibit which is presented along the waterfront park. All the trees are decorated to support the U.S. military.

Looks like a nice place. What's the verdict?
ReplyDeleteThe Verdict?--While the town is quite adorable, there is not enough for us to do here and we were not please with either of the docks. The docks are more industrial than we prefer and there were not many other boaters at Reynolds. Green Cove Springs Marina is primarily a do it yourself boat repair marina for sailboats which also doesn't interest us.
