December 3, 2012

December 3, 2012

We woke early this morning to see Proud Mary and Providence head south.  I leaned out the door into the chilly air to wish them a safe trip.  We will miss our new friends.  Now, we are the only ones left at what I have begun calling Burr School.  I am beginning to have a case of senioritis--meaning I am ready to graduate and head south.  We are hoping to leave on Thursday, if all goes well.

Caroline and Lainey get out of school on December 10 and 11.  They are going to try to meet us at some point before Christmas.  We are making new Christmas traditions which I think may frighten them a bit.  It looks like we will be home for a few days in December to celebrate Christmas and then head to the boat, wherever she may be, for our own smaller celebration.

Today, we are planning our trip using the charts and the Noble Tec software.  This may help us to have a better estimate of where we will be and when we will be there.  I don't think we will make it to Jacksonville before we have to be home for Christmas.  Flexibility is the key to the enjoyment of boating.
