God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in
trouble, therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the
mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and
the mountains quake with their surging. Psalm 46:1-3
I find this verse appropriate with all the fear and anxiety
demonstrated on the news programs about going over the fiscal cliff which seems
to be looming ahead of our country. I
find the behavior of our elected officials to be juvenile. The reporters whom I believe are supposed to
report the facts, not insert personal opinion are also behaving
childishly. During this heated time of
reporting and politics, I am reminded of the times when the weather reporters
declare a terrible snow storm here in the south. Everyone rushes to the grocery store to buy
up milk and bread and then guess what?
No Storm--they never admit they were wrong, it's just the storm took a
turn or a warm front upstaged the snow.
That is enough of politics for now. So, I am back to our
Meandering Joy project. Dale Strickland
is coming over today to help with fabric choices for the upholstery work we
plan to start once we move the boat to Jacksonville.
